据报道，新日铁和美国钢铁针对美国总统拜登政府提起的诉讼听证会定于2月至3月期间举行。
据了解，这两家钢铁制造商于1月6日提起诉讼，反对拜登以国家安全为由阻止新日铁以149亿美元收购美国钢铁的命令。此前，拜登政府已将新日铁放弃收购美国钢铁的最后期限延长至6月18日。
在去年11月美国总统大选之前，这宗并购案已变得高度政治化。民主党人拜登和共和党候任总统特朗普在美国钢铁总部所在的摇摆州宾夕法尼亚州争取选民支持时，都誓言要扼杀这宗并购案。美国钢铁工人联合会主席David McCall也反对这起合并。
