CALB Group (HKG:3931) said it was sued by Contemporary Amperex Technology (SHE:300750), or CATL, for infringing a patent on battery modules.
CATL is seeking compensation of 60 million yuan for economic losses and 1 million yuan for costs incurred for stopping the infringement, according to a Jan. 17 filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
CALB Group said "there is no infringement involved" in its products.
CATL shares rose 4% in recent trade.
