Element 25 (ASX:E25) has secured a $166 million grant from the US Department of Energy to build a high-purity manganese sulfate monohydrate processing facility in Louisiana, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The grant will be provided in stages based on project milestones, with matching contributions from the company, the filing said.
Work on the project can begin up to 90 days before the official commencement date of April 1, the filing added.
Shares of the company soared 19% at market close.
