Lynas Rare Earths' Rare Earth Production Falls Despite Revenue Rise in Fiscal Q2; Shares Fall 6%

Lynas Rare Earths (ASX:LYC) produced 2,617 tonnes of rare earth oxides in the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024, from 2,722 tonnes in fiscal first quarter, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

Neodymium and praseodymium production fell to 1,292 tonnes from 1,677 tonnes month on month, the filing said.

Gross sales revenue for fiscal Q2 rose to AU$141.2 million from AU$120.5 million in fiscal Q1, while sales receipts climbed to AU$145.9 million from AU$127.5 million, per the filing.

In the same period a year earlier, the company produced 1,566 tonnes of rare earth oxides and 901 tonnes of neodymium and praseodymium. Gross sales revenue was AU$136.2 million, while sales receipts were AU$107.1 million.

Shares of Lynas Rare Earths fell 5% in recent Friday trade.
