《彭博》引述消息人士报道，中电(00002.HK) 主席米高嘉道理近期接触多名知名商界领袖，牵头集资5,000万美元(3.89亿港元)用于提升香港形象以及提振香港旅游业。
据悉，嘉道理表示他本入将投入500万美元，并且已邀请恒地(00012.HK) 联席主席李家杰、新地(00016.HK) 主席郭炳联及阿里巴巴(09988.HK) 董事局主席蔡崇信等人出资。
蔡崇信家族办公室蓝池资本首席执行官Oliver Weisberg表示，已经与嘉道理家族会面，并听取该项计划。目前计划仍在处于早期阶段，正在考虑当中。新地表示，支持任何有利于香港的计划，并称公司仍在评估这项建议，尚未作出决定。
报道称，目前尚不清楚已集资的规模，以及资金将如何管理及运用，但有可能包括购买广告以提高香港的吸引力，相关工作有可能从春季开始。
