Cruise Lines Face Limited Exposure to Port of Los Angeles -- Market Talk

1336 ET - The Port of Los Angeles' operations have not been disrupted by the Southern California wildfires, say UBS analysts in a research note. "And we note that seasonally, most cruises out of Port of L.A. are in Q4," they add. The port served 1.3 million passengers in 2023--far below the 7.3 million people who passed through Port Miami, the analysts say. They estimate that Royal Caribbean has the greatest exposure to the Port of L.A., which accounts for about 4% of their total 2025 cruises. Cruises out of L.A.'s port will account for about 2% of Norwegian Cruise Line and Viking cruises in 2025, and about 1% of Carnival's, according to UBS. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
