Genesis Energy (NZE:GNE, ASX:GNE) reported total retail electricity sales volume of 1,433 gigawatt hours (GWh) in the fiscal second quarter, compared with 1,405 GWh a year earlier, according to a Friday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
Gas retail sales were 1.5 petajoules, down from 1.6 petajoules a year prior.
Total customers rose 4.7% year on year to 516,312.
The diversified energy company said total generation was down 205 GWh, with renewable generation in line with the year-ago period and thermal generation down 42%.
Genesis Energy's Kiwi shares were up nearly 3% in recent Friday trade.
