Texas Instruments Q4 Earnings, Revenue Decline; Q1 Guidance Set -- Shares Fall After Hours

Texas Instruments (TXN) reported Q4 earnings late Thursday of $1.30 per diluted share, down from $1.49 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.21.

Revenue in the three months ended Dec. 31 fell to $4.01 billion from $4.08 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $3.88 billion.

The company expects Q1 EPS of $0.94 to $1.16 on revenue of $3.74 billion to $4.06 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expect EPS of $1.17 on revenue of $3.85 billion.

Shares of the company fell nearly 4% in recent after-hours activity.
