Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) repurchased an additional 548,305 shares in the UK on Wednesday at a weighted average price of 10.74 pounds sterling apiece.
The British lender has repurchased shares for $1.45 billion so far under its share buyback program, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Upon cancellation of the repurchased shares, Standard Chartered will have 2,417,514,582 shares in issue.
