Tech Ticks Up as Electronic Arts Slides -- Tech Roundup

Shares of technology companies rose, but not by as much as the broad market, after weak earnings from Electronic Arts.

Shares of the videogame publisher slid 17%, on course for the biggest one-day drop in two decades, as analysts at brokerage Benchmark Capital said an "abrupt loss of momentum" in its Global Football franchise was a major overhang in the short term.

The top lawyer at Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency is announcing his departure just days after President Trump's return to the White House.
