Nera Telecommunications (SGX:N01) said a former employee, Chiang Chee Seng, has been charged by Singapore's Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) for abetting under the Prevention of Corruption Act, according to a Thursday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The company clarified that the charges, related to Chiang's tenure from November 2020 to December 2022, do not implicate Nera or its subsidiaries.
Chiang was suspended immediately after the company became aware of the investigation and left the firm on Dec. 19, 2022.
