智通财经APP获悉，万洲国际(00288)现涨超4%，截至发稿，涨3.39%，报6.41港元，成交额1.45亿港元。
消息面上，1月8日，据万洲国际董事会宣布，子公司史密斯菲尔德已于当地时间1月6日向美国证券交易委员会提交上市注册声明文件，申请将其普通股股份在纳斯达克全球精选市场以股份代号“SFD”上市。发售的史密斯菲尔德股份数目及金额尚未确定，公司将适时就其发售刊发进一步公告。
据悉，2024年下半年，万洲国际宣布，建议分拆公司在美国及墨西哥经营的史密斯菲尔德业务，令史密斯菲尔德在美国再次上市。麦格理当时表示，分拆完成后，Smithfield集团会主要在美国及墨西哥营业，而万洲会专注在国内及欧洲，相信今次的Smithfield会有效分别释放美国及墨西哥业务价值，同时加大股东回报，同时亦料万洲会用今次交易所得来扩大现有股东的回报。
