巴拿马总审计长Anel Bolo Flores较早前表示，调查将寻求核实授予该公司的25年特许权条款履行情况，并承诺将进行“严格而有力”的财务审计。
巴拿马最初于1998年授予了上述特许权，巴拿马海事局于2021年续约。至于巴拿马港口公司于2021年由巴拿马海事局批准续签特许权，以营运运河上的两个港口直至2047年。(js/u)
