Chinese Companies Selected to Supply World's Largest Solar-Battery Storage Project

The United Arab Emirates' Masdar Clean Energy named Chinese companies to supply the world's largest combined solar-battery energy storage system project worth $6 billion in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Contemporary Amperex Technology (SHE:300750) will supply the battery energy storage system for the solar power facility, according to a Jan. 17 news release by Masdar.

Jinko Solar (SHA:688223) and JA Solar (SHE:002459) will supply the solar photovoltaic modules.

Power Construction Corp. of China (SHA:601669) or PowerChina will be one of two preferred engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for the project.

The solar power project has a capacity of 5.2 gigawatts of solar capacity and 19 gigawatt-hours of energy storage.
