经营巴拿马港口的长和(00001.HK) 旗下子公司Hutchison Ports表示，仍致力于在当地的营运，并会正全力配合审计，并保持应有的透明度。
美国总统特朗普在就职演说中声称要从中国手上收回巴拿马运河，不过巴拿马政府早前已多次否认运河被中资操控，巴拿马审计署亦宣布，向长和子公司展开审查账目工作，以确保公共资源有效及透明运用。
