Bank of Guangzhou Terminates IPO Application

Bank of Guangzhou terminated its application for an initial public offering with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, according to a document submitted to the bourse Jan. 17.

The withdrawal came after main sponsor Guotai Junan Securities (HKG:2611, SHA:601211) pulled out of the IPO, the filing said.

China has not yet seen a bank that went public since Bank of Lanzhou's (SHE:001227) stock market debut in 2022, according to a Yicai Global report Monday.
