Nexus Minerals Identifies Two Gold Discoveries at Western Australia Project

Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) said that the air core drill program at its Wallbrook gold project in Western Australia identified two new gold discoveries at the Payns and Godfrey prospects, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The program included a total of 284 holes for 9,811 meters across all targets. The Payns prospect drilling resulted in an intercept of 4 meters at 6.85 grams per tonne grade of gold from a depth of 28 meters, within 16 meters at 2.74 g/t grade of gold.

It is planning to conduct follow-up air core drilling in February, with further exploration at the Payns prospect being planned, the filing said.

It is also continuing talks with potential operational and toll treatment partners for the Crusader-Templar resource area in the project.

Company shares inched up 2% in recent trade.
