毕马威发表《2025年香港银行业展望》报告，指出香港银行业在2024年逐渐回暖，开始呈现复苏迹象，预期美国减息步伐将较市场预期缓慢，将有利于香港银行维持息差水平。投资银行方面，毕马威相信，内地利好政策可提振消费信心，刺激企业集资及并购活动，推动香港市场。
毕马威中国香港金融服务业、银行业高级合伙人马绍辉(Paul McSheaffrey)表示，中国内地的政策转变，为2025年奠定审慎乐观的发展基础，加上港交所(00388.HK) 集资额回升，以及中国内地推出的刺激消费政策等迹象显示，经济复苏趋势逐渐形成，因此对香港银行业今年的前景保持乐观。
憧憬在生成式人工智能和虚拟资产等新与科技的帮助下，该行相信银行仍可在日趋复杂的经营环境中改变营运模式，通过优化成本、加强数据管理及推动数码转型，把握重大机遇。在地缘政治不明朗、营运开支上升及监管要求日趋严格的环境下，该行相信成本管理将是行业关注重点，但预期银行普遍会采取策略性成本优化方案，而非一刀切大幅削减开支。(gc/da)(港股报价延迟最少十五分钟。沽空资料截至 2025-01-24 16:25。)
