Alkane Resources (ASX:ALK) reported exploration results for drilling in the region around its Tomingley gold project in New South Wales, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Core drilling results from the San Antonio deposits included intercepts of 3 meters of 1.8 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from a depth of 273 meters and 1 meter of 2.8 g/t grade of gold from 334 meters.
The firm is seeking to define additional underground resources and reserves at the project, the filing said.
It is planning additional drilling on the deposit to test the down-dip of several high-grade domains. It also plans to conduct a first-pass 17,000-meter air-core drilling program across volcanic rocks and structures interpreted from a drone magnetic survey.
The company's shares were up almost 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
