The Hong Kong bourse's expansion of its paperless listing rules obtained majority support during a consultation, according to a Friday press release by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKG:0388).

The bourse will adopt all proposals in the consultation paper with minor changes, HKEX said.

Under the bourse's new listing requirements, issuers will be allowed to adopt digital communication and payment technologies while reducing its impact on the environment, the report said.
