L3Harris Technologies received a nearly $300 million contract from the U.S. Army to produce radios.

The technology and defense contractor said Monday it received radio production orders under the Army's Handheld, Manpack and Small Form Fit program. L3Harris expects the contract will help communication and operations among soldiers.

L3Harris's AN/PRC-158 and AN/PRC-163 radios meet the National Security Agency's standards for encryption and decryption.

The company received production orders in 2023 totaling about $247 million under the same indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts, it said.
