DeepSeek发布其R1模型，硅谷一片紧张。在第三方基准测试中，其表现优于OpenAI、Meta和 Anthropic等美国领先人工智能公司。在AIME 2024数学基准测试中，DeepSeek R1的成功率达到79.8%，超越了OpenAI的o1推理模型。在标准化编码测试中，它表现出“专家级”的性能，在Codeforces上获得了2029 Elo评级，并超越了96.3%的人类竞争对手。
更为关键的是，该大模型的成本极低。DeepSeek R1真正与众不同之处在于它的成本——或者说成本很低。该模型每百万个token的查询成本仅为0.14美元，而OpenAI的成本为7.50美元，便宜了98%。而且允许开源。中信证券研报指出，DeepSeek模型相比GPT4模型更小的参数量也意味着更低的推理成本，推理成本的降低，将是AI应用普及的前奏。
