Hainan Meilan International Airport (HKG:0357) and parent Haikou Meilan International Airport obtained a loan with a principal of 6.36 billion yuan from China Development Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (HKG:1398, SHA:601398).
The loan has a term of 20 years, a Monday bourse filing said.
Under the agreement, the borrowers must use nearly 4.78 billion yuan of the credit facility to repay an existing loan with 4.78 billion yuan in outstanding amount. They will apply the remainder of the loan to construct the group's airport project.
The airport project involves the construction of Haikou Meilan International Airport in Hainan Province, China.
