BlackSky Technology Gets $100 Million Space-Based Monitoring Contract; Shares Up Pre-Bell

BlackSky Technology (BKSY) said Tuesday it won a seven-year contract worth more than $100 million from an international defense sector customer for space-based monitoring capabilities.

Under the deal, the company said it will provide the customer with annual capacity minimums for high-resolution and low-latency imagery and artificial intelligence-powered analytics services through 2032.

The company's shares rose 17% in premarket activity Tuesday.
