A2 Milk announced the establishment of a formal dividend policy last November.

The payout ratio will be between 60% and 80% of net profit after tax (NPAT), excluding non-recurring and other items (normalised NPAT).

The company told investors it expects the interim dividend to be at the bottom end of the payout range.

The a2 Milk Company has made considerable progress in developing its operating model and creating a more resilient business.

Given this progress and our strong balance sheet position, the Board believes the time is right to introduce a dividend policy that delivers sustainable cash returns to shareholders over time.

The next big financial disclosure likely to impact the A2 Milk share price will be the full-year FY25 results on 18 August.

A2 Milk upgraded its full-year FY25 guidance in November.

The company expects mid-to-high single-digit revenue growth in FY25 compared to FY24, up from the previous guidance of mid-single-digit growth.

The company said its EBITDA margin, as a percentage of revenue, is expected to be broadly in line with FY24. It expects a margin decline in 1H FY25 but an increase in 2H FY25 compared with the prior year.

The next important date for the A2 Milk share price is 20 November, when the company will host its annual general meeting.

Citi has a buy rating on A2 Milk with a 12-month share price target of $7.15.
