Democratic senators joined medical experts and activists outside the Capitol Wednesday morning to condemn Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s views on health and medicine. The nominee is "just wildly open to believing any medical conspiracy theory that is put in front of him," said Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut. Murphy said rejecting Kennedy's confirmation would save lives: "Chances are that you'll still get someone pretty bad, but you won't get somebody who's going to kill as many people as RFK Jr. will."
"RFK Jr. is one of the top spreaders of misinformation about vaccines, peddling bogus conspiracy theories that these safe and effective protections for Americans are somehow harmful," said Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin.
