CALB Group Faces Patent Infringement Lawsuit from CATL

CALB Group (HKG:3931) said it has the complete independent intellectual property rights layout for the top cover structure of a certain type of battery for which the company has been sued by Amperex Technology or CATL (SHE:300750), a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The company was served a civil indictment initiated by Contemporary Amperex Technology alleging infringement of a patent related to secondary battery top cover components.

CATL seeks an immediate halt to the infringement, 110 million yuan in economic losses, and 1 million yuan for infringement costs, according to the filing.

The litigation is not anticipated to impact CALB's operations significantly, and the company is committed to taking legal action to protect its interests.
