Health care stocks were mixed premarket Wednesday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was down 0.4% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was up 0.4%.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) shares fell 8.8% after it reported lower Q4 non-GAAP earnings and net revenue compared with a year earlier.
Danaher (DHR) shares were down 5.9% after it reported Q4 adjusted earnings that fell short of market expectations.
Stryker (SYK) reported higher Q4 adjusted earnings and net sales, and said it appointed Preston Wells as chief financial officer starting April 1. The company also said it agreed to sell its US spinal implants business to investment firm Viscogliosi Brothers. Stryker shares fell 1.3% pre-bell Wednesday.
