IT之家 1 月 29 日消息，当地时间周二，Spotify 称其去年全年向音乐产业支付了 100 亿美元（IT之家备注：当前约 726.53 亿元人民币）。自成立以来，Spotify 累计已向音乐产业支付近 600 亿美元（当前约 4359.17 亿元人民币），以此驳斥了有关该公司未能向音乐人提供充分回报的传闻。
国际唱片业协会 (IFPI) 的一份报告显示，全球付费音乐流媒体用户超过 5 亿，而 Spotify 截至 2024 年第三季度已拥有超过 2.52 亿订阅用户。Spotify 表示，其目前超过 60% 的用户是免费用户。
Spotify 还表示，目前已经有超过 10,000 名艺术家每年从流媒体收入中获得超 10 万美元的收入，而 2014 年只有超 1 万美元的收入。
去年的 IFPI 报告显示，Spotify 贡献了全球流媒体唱片收入的约三分之一。但 MIDiA Research 最近对独立唱片公司和分销商进行的一项全面研究表明，Spotify 占独立唱片公司流媒体收入的一半以上。
