Perpetual's (ASX:PPT) assets under management rose 3.6% to AU$230.2 billion in the December 2024 quarter from AU$222.3 billion in the September quarter, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Chief Executive Bernard Reilly said positive currency movements helped drive growth, although business was also hit by a decline in global and US value indices, as well as net outflows.
The asset management company expects fiscal first-half expense growth to be at the upper end of its guidance range of 2% to 4%. Significant items after tax are expected to be between AU$85 million and AU$92 million.
