AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) said late Thursday it has received a special temporary authority from the Federal Communications Commission authorizing the company's testing service in the US.
The authority enables the company's first five commercial BlueBird satellites with unmodified smartphones with partners AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ) to support voice, data, video applications, and other capabilities.
