Tabcorp Holdings (ASX:TAH) formally appointed Gillon McLachlan as chief executive, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Following McLachlan's appointment, former Chairman Bruce Akhurst will retire from the Tabcorp board and cease as executive director, effective Friday, per the filing.
The gambling entertainment company's shares were up over 1% in recent Friday trade.
