Besra Gold (ASX:BEZ) confirmed that, following the issuance of a Notice of Discontinuance, the remaining defendants are still subject to the legal proceedings from the Ontario Supreme Court, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The Notice of Discontinuance applies to Noblemen Ventures and Wayne Johnson, who are no longer part of the proceedings, the filing said.

The remaining defendants include Besra, Quantum Metal Recovery, Dato' Lim Khong Soon, Chang Loong Lee, Jon Morda, and Michael Higginson, the filing added.

The plaintiffs in the case are Prana GP, Talisman 37, and Concept Capital Management, the company said.

Shares of the company rose 4% at market close.
