General Dynamics Falls as Concerns Over Marine Improvement Persist -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
30 Jan

1238 ET - The additional selloff General Dynamics has experienced probably reflects the negative reset for numbers implied in the 2025 guidance, together with the concern that it could take some time to see improvements in is Marine business, Vertical Research Partners analysts say in a research note. The aerospace and defense company is tied up in the uncertainty caused by the new US Administration, and that looks likely to persist in the short term, the analysts say. Still, with General Dynamics having gone through a number of broker downgrades over the last couple of months, the analysts think challenges in aerospace and marine had been widely expected heading into the 4Q results. Shares fall 3.2% to $254.29. (sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
