Jacobs Solutions Wins 10-Year Water Treatment System Contract in Mississippi

Jacobs Solutions (J) said Thursday it was chosen by JXN Water to operate and maintain the water treatment system in Jackson, Mississippi.

The company said that under the 10-year contract, it will continue to manage the O.B. Curtis and J.H. Fewell water treatment plants and provide them with programmatic support and oversight.

The new contract follows a short-term operations and maintenance deal that gave more reliable drinking water to almost 180,000 residents in and around Jackson, the company said.

Jacobs shares rose more than 2% in recent trading.
