Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) proposed $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks (JNPR) would hurt competition in the enterprise wireless equipment market, the US Department of Justice said in a lawsuit to block the deal, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
The acquisition would concentrate the market to two major players - Hewlett Packard and Cisco Systems (CSCO) - if it proceeds, the Justice Department said in its compliant filed with a federal court in California.
Hewlett Packard and Juniper did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
