Global Lithium Resources (ASX:GL1) submitted an application to the Australian government's Takeovers Panel, asking it review its earlier decision to not pursue proceedings, according to a filing with the Australian bourse on Wednesday.
The acting president of the panel consented to the application for review, the filing said.
The panel declined to conduct proceedings on its application, according to a Jan, 23 disclosure.
Global Lithium in a previous filing alleged in the application that parties with purported undisclosed associations, holding about 30% to 40% voting power in the firm, attempted to gain control of its board and the company since at least February 2024.
The regulator said that a review panel had not been appointed and no decision had been made on whether to conduct proceedings, according to the filing.
The firm's shares rose 4% in recent trading on Wednesday.
