Asia Distillates-Thin window activity; GS Caltex offers more Feb spot

SINGAPORE, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Asia's middle distillates markets were thinly discussed on Friday, with prices little changed, as some traders were still away for the holidays though February refiner sales resumed the momentum.

More offers emerged from South Korea, with GS Caltex seeking to sell more high sulphur gasoil cargoes, in line with earlier expectations. MDIS/TENDA

Meanwhile, some supply issues at one Southeast Asian refining site were still present - with some cancellation of second-half February cargoes likely, one trade source who was affected said.

Jet fuel markets were also slightly supported as the export arbitrage to the U.S. West Coast widened in the past two trading sessions.

Refining margins GO10SGCKMc1 closed at slightly above $14 a barrel, the highest for the week.

In spot cash markets, differentials GO10-SIN-DIF were little changed as discussions on the trading window stayed muted with some traders still away for the holidays.

Regrade JETREG10SGMc1 held its ground at discounts of 60 cents per barrel, with some traders expecting swing cargoes in India and the Middle East to pivot east again due to the price strength here.
