0106 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index rises 1.3% to 3849.78, tracking Wall Street's gains overnight. Eyes are on the latest monthly update for the U.S. PCE inflation data due later today, says UOB's Global Economics & Markets Research team. Market attention is also on President Trump's potential tariff announcement due Saturday which could impose tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, UOB writes in a note. Among advancers, Genting Singapore rises 2.05%, Wilmar International climbs 2.0% and OCBC rises 1.8%. Meanwhile, Hongkong Land falls 0.8% and Singapore Exchange sheds 0.1%.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
