Meridian Energy (NZE:MEL, ASX:MEL) signed a power purchase agreement with the Harmony Energy and First Renewables joint venture for the construction of the 150MW Tauhei solar farm in New Zealand, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company will acquire 100% of the solar farm's output for its initial 10 years of operation, and will also acquire early generation under a separate agreement, the filing said.
