Vaalco Energy (EGY) said Monday it has achieved what it described as a milestone in its Ivory Coast Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel Dry Dock Refurbishment Project.
The vessel, operated by Canadian Natural Resources International, has been disconnected and stopped hydrocarbon production on Jan. 31. It will be towed to shipyards in Dubai for refurbishment.
The disconnection and refurbishment is expected to allow production to continue until at least 2038, the company said.
