Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) bought back 651,243 shares from the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday for an average price of 6.6412 pounds sterling apiece, a same-day bourse filing said.
The insurer plans to cancel the repurchased shares.
Following the buyback, the company will have 2,642,842,682 shares in issue.
