智通财经APP获悉，默沙东(MRK.US)宣布，欧洲药品管理局(EMA)人用药品委员会(CHMP)已建议批准Capvaxive(21价肺炎球菌结合疫苗)上市，用于对18岁及以上人群的主动免疫，以预防由肺炎链球菌(Streptococcus pneumoniae)引起的侵袭性疾病和肺炎。
公开资料显示，Capvaxive是一种21价肺炎球菌结合疫苗。该疫苗专门设计用于预防主要导致成人肺炎球菌疾病的肺炎链球菌血清型，包括8种独特的血清型。Capvaxive专为成年人设计，涵盖导致50岁及以上成年人中约84%侵袭性肺炎球菌疾病的血清型。去年6月，它获得美国FDA批准上市。
