Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) confirmed that its off-market takeover offer for all ordinary shares in Mako Gold (ASX:MKG) closed on Jan. 31 and it currently holds a 91.38% stake in Mako Gold, according to an Australian bourse filing on Monday.
Aurum launched a compulsory acquisition process for the remaining Mako Gold shares on issue, the filing added.
Mako Gold's shares rose almost 10% in early trading on Monday. Meanwhile, Aurum Resources' shares slid 2% in recent trade.
