Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) on Monday launched various measures to support customers affected by flooding in North Queensland, the lender said in a statement.
This includes payment deferment for home loan and credit card bills, insurance claims, and a halt on certain interest fees, the bank said. For businesses, clients may also apply for payment deferment and terminal fee refunds.
The company's shares were down almost 2% in recent Monday trade in Australia and 1% in New Zealand.
