恒生银行(00011.HK) 经济研究部主管兼首席经济师薛俊升表示，本港经济年增长由去年第三季的1.9%加快至第四季的2.4%，主要反映旅游业持续复苏，以及对外贸易表现保持韧力。按季而言，本港经济增长0.8%，也显示经济复苏重拾动力。不过，受环球经济前景不明朗、利率高企、资产市场调整等多项因素影响，消费及投资表现相对较弱，两者俱于第四季录得按年跌幅，而去年全年本港零售销售亦见下跌。
