CapitaLand Investment Acquires Site for First Data Center in Japan

CapitaLandInvest acquired a freehold land parcel in Osaka, Japan, to develop its first data center in the country, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Tuesday.

The development entails a total investment of more than $700 million with a power capacity of 50 megawatts.

The company currently has 27 data centers across Asia and Europe, with assets under management of around SG$6 billion.

Shares of the company were up over 2% in recent trading.
