NOVONIX Welcomes US Commission Ruling on Chinese Graphite Exports

NOVONIX (ASX:NVX) welcomed the US International Trade Commission's preliminary determination that China stunted the establishment of a US graphite industry by exporting artificially cheap graphite to the country, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The American Active Anode Material Producers, which represents graphite materials producers and includes NOVONIX, filed a case with the commission and the US Department of Commerce in 2024 on the matter.

The group had sought import tariffs as a remedy.

The case will now proceed before the Commerce Department and the commission under the jurisdiction of US antidumping and countervailing duty statutes.
