1028 ET - Tyson Foods says its head of poultry, Wes Morris, will retire this year. Tyson CEO Donnie King says on a call with analysts that he will name a successor in the coming weeks. Morris, a poultry industry veteran, was named president of Tyson Foods' poultry business about two years ago after it struggled to get its chicken business on track. King didn't give an exact time on when Morris would depart. The company's chicken operating income nearly doubled in its latest quarter from a year ago to $351 million. "Wes has clearly gotten the business back on track," he says. (patrick.thomas@wsj.com)
