** Cryptocurrency prices slide as U.S. tariffs on China spark fears of a global trade war and high inflation

** Bitcoin BTC=, the world's biggest cryptocurrency, down about 3% to $98,884, while Ether ETH= falls 3.1% to $2,728

** Crypto exchange Coinbase Global COIN.O falls 1.2%, while blockchain farm operator Bitfarms BITF.O down 0.7%

** Crypto miners Riot Platforms RIOT.O Marathon Digital MARA.O, Hut 8 HUT.O and Bit Digital BTBT.O down 0.9%-1.9%

** Software firm and BTC buyer MicroStrategy MSTR.O declines 2.1%
